传统印度重男轻女，即使女性有工作意愿，也很难走出家门找到工作。为此，慈济在尼泊尔的迦毘罗卫社区学习中心开设了缝纫职业训练班，教导妇女学习裁缝，让她们在照顾孩子的同时，也能在家中赚钱，补贴家用。

这项培训吸引了许多渴望自立的妇女，其中10位通过甄选的学员，带着满满的期待走进中心，开始她们人生的新篇章。对她们来说，一台缝纫机、一双巧手，不仅是技能的起点，更是改变命运的希望。

在贫困让许多妇女失去谋生机会和选择权的加毘罗卫，每一针一线缝出的不仅是包包，更是家人的温饱、尊严与希望。

In traditional Indian society, men are often favored over women, making it difficult for women to find work even if they are willing. To address this, Tzu Chi established a sewing vocational training class at the Kapilvastu Community Learning Center in Nepal, teaching women how to sew so that they can earn an income at home while taking care of their children.

The program has attracted many women eager to become independent. Among them, ten selected participants walked into the center full of hope, beginning a new chapter in their lives. For these women, a sewing machine and a pair of skilled hands are not only the start of a new skill but also a beacon of hope to change their destinies.

In Kapilvastu, where poverty has deprived many women of livelihood opportunities and choices, every stitch they sew represents not only a bag but also the nourishment, dignity, and hope of their families.
